Apiezon waxes are versatile products offering a multitude of uses. They are ideal for use where a rigid permanent or semi-permanent sealed joint is required. They are excellent waterproof mediums providing a total seal against liquid water and offer superior sealing against water vapour and atmospheric moisture. They have excellent vapour pressure characteristics; they are really clean. They are etch fluid resistant, are excellent mounting media, and are used extensively as both temporary and permanent adhesives for the mounting of silicon chips.
Wax W40 is the softest of all the Apiezon waxes. With a melting point of 45*C, it can be prepared for use by immersing in hot water and therefore gives added protection to heat sensitive glass joints. Click here for more information about this product
